Grupo Jiménez celebrates its 140th anniversary and renews its fleet of minibuses.

The company based in La Rioja has acquired two vehicles adapted for the transport of people with reduced mobility.

Last February, the Jiménez Movilidad group blew out the candles for its 140th anniversary, a very special date that coincides with a very upward trend in the company’s growth. From its headquarters in Logroño, the group is working to consolidate its leadership and grow in the markets in which it operates.

In order to offer the best service to its customers, on numerous occasions Jiménez trusts Integralia as its minibus supplier. On this occasion, the company has acquired two minibuses adapted for passengers in wheelchairs with 22 seats and capacity for up to three people with reduced mobility. The renewal of its fleet is part of the new acquisitions that the company is making to consolidate its leadership in urban mobility.

Since 2015, Integralia has been a constant choice for the company from La Rioja when purchasing new vehicles. At Jiménez Movilidad they value the quality and durability of its vehicles, the customisation possibilities and, of course, the value of the after-sales service that the Navarrese coachbuilder offers its customers.

The Jiménez Group has been transporting illusions for 140 years, as stated in the title of its website. This family business has become a consolidated group made up of more than ten companies, more than two hundred vehicles and with branches in the provinces of Madrid, La Rioja, Navarra, Aragón and Valencia.

The story of Jimenez Mobility

Given its location, Melchor Jiménez and Elvira Sáenz would most likely have been involved in the manufacture of footwear, an industry for which the Rioja town of Arnedo is internationally renowned. However, the couple decided to start transporting customers in horse-drawn carriages from Arnedo to the Féculas de Navarra train station in nearby Lodosa.

The ability to adapt to the times and the vision of the future is a constant feature of the company from La Rioja: it did not have a motor vehicle in its fleet in its first 37 years of existence.  Elvira, who was the real strategist of the small company, would treat customers to a cup of hot chocolate when the first bus arrived, transporting passengers to Logroño. Many cups of hot chocolate, tickets sold and buses bought have made Jiménez a company that has grown over time while maintaining the same spirit of service as its founders. Four generations later, Jiménez Movilidad is today a large transport group, which continues to strive to offer its customers the best quality so that they can travel with them for another 140 years.
