European legislation, which reduces the amount of noise allowed in a vehicle. The technical team of the Navarrese company has managed to reduce the sound of a running engine by 8%, in accordance with the new European legislation in force.
Little more than the noise emitted by a hoover is what the European Union has set as the limit for the sound of minibus engines. This standard was not met by any of the vehicle manufacturers, who often recorded sound emissions 8-10% higher.
Thanks to Integralia’s technical team, all the vehicles that have started to circulate in recent weeks from the company’s facilities in Pamplona comply with the new regulations. The speed with which this change has been tackled places the coachbuilder at the forefront of transport approvals, which are essential for regular and school services throughout Europe.
The homologations department has carried out various tests on the vehicles, testing coatings and elements to reduce noise to 73 dB, which is the level at which the Integralia minibuses are located. Of course, it then had to pass the tests to obtain this certification in a very quick manoeuvre, which has meant that all the vehicles leaving the bodywork already have this approval. And, most importantly, they are quieter and more comfortable.
