The Balearic company incorporates new T-One with large hold capacity for shuttle services.
Last winter Menorca registered the highest population on the island with 32,600 more people than at the same time 25 years ago. This was recorded by Ibestat, which registered a peak of 102,696 people in January. The Institute of Statistics of the Balearic Islands recorded 70,000 people on the island in 1997, which means that from 1998 to 2023 the human pressure on the island has increased by almost 47%. Please note that this is winter data. It has nothing to do with the summer data, in August last year 225,390 people were registered in Menorca.
This increase in population on the Balearic island means a constant transfer of passengers. A need that was detected around 1900 by Francisco Vidal Vacarisas, the great-grandfather of the current owners of Autocares Vidal, who began to transport passengers with a horse and cart on a route from the municipality of Migjorn Gran to Mahón and Ciutadella with different stops.
Today Autocares Vidal belongs to the Norbús Group, which is mainly focused on the transport of travellers arriving at the airport with a tourist package or at the port on a cruise, school groups, Imserso travellers or private events such as meetings, celebrations or weddings.
This group has always made a great effort to renew the vehicles it makes available to its customers, and has positioned itself as one of the most modern fleets in Menorca with a maximum age of its vehicles of six years. On this occasion, Autocares Vidal has acquired two T-One vehicles from Integralia with 16 seats and a large hold volume for airport transfer services with a configuration designed in accordance with the services they are aimed at. So that, although there are more and more Menorcans, they will always have a comfortable space inside the minibuses that Integralia has manufactured for Autocares Vidal.
