Integralia leads a consortium of companies seeking to improve vehicles by reducing component weight, improving carbon footprint and optimising energy use.
When the term “sustainability” in relation to mobility comes up in conversation, the focus is often on the energy used to power vehicles. However, sustainability encompasses many more areas, such as the materials from which a vehicle is built, the processes involved in its design, manufacture, marketing or even delivery. And, of course, the technologies used throughout the cycle, the elements involved in the conception, creation and tangibilisation of the vehicle.
Integralia is aware that its commitment to innovation is the differential value that leads it to provide more value to its vehicles, so it is always looking for ideas to improve processes and materials, as well as making them more sustainable. This strategy has given rise to ‘Moverte’, an innovation project funded by the Government of Navarre, which brings together different companies in the region to address key challenges in passenger transport, such as reducing vehicle weight, integrating advanced sensors and designing connectivity systems, among other parameters.
Working together to change the world
Moverte’ is aligned with the European objectives of the European Green Pact and the Climate Change Law of Navarre and aims to lead the transition towards a cleaner, more efficient and future-proof transport system.
Integralia has joined this project together with Naitec-Centro Tecnológico de Movilidad y Mecatrónica, Resitex and Geoactio. Together they aim to work closely to ensure that each innovation is practical, functional and adapted to the needs of the sector. However, the aim is for each company to take advantage of its specialisation to take responsibility for parts of the process. In this case, Integralia is leading the development of sustainable and efficient prototypes of minibuses thanks to its experience in the manufacture and design of these vehicles.
The most important objectives of the project are to
- Weight reduction of vehicles: 30% less than their current size in key components.
- Energy efficiency: incorporation of photovoltaic cells and optimisation of energy use in vehicles.
- Advanced technology: integrated sensors that monitor vehicle behaviour in real time, ensuring safety and connectivity.
- Environmental commitment: use of recyclable and bio-based materials to minimise carbon footprint.
