‘Patria’ / Fernando Aramburu / 2016
The impact of ETA terrorism in the Basque Country is the main plot of this book told through the lives of two families, one on each side of the conflict. A breakneck pace, fast-paced chapters, ideal for short journeys, and deeply human characters have made this novel a success with audiences and critics alike. HBO produced a very interesting series based on the novel.

In this case, Amazon did a wonderful publicity campaign to get you to watch the series they produced about the novel. We hope you haven’t seen it because it doesn’t do it justice. This multi-page thriller grips you irrevocably. Antonia and Jon are a fantastic duo who go on an adventure full of mystery and surprises to solve a strange crime. You won’t be able to fall asleep on the journey if you read it. “One more chapter and I’ll quit”, you’ll be fooled.
The Truth About the Harry Quebert Case’ / Joël Dicker / 2012
