The driverless car hire company has specific specifications for all the vehicles it has distributed throughout the main tourist, urban and coastal destinations in southern Europe.
A 16-seater minibus plus driver with efficient equipment for short transfers and a large storage capacity. These are just some of the characteristics of the so-called ‘Centauro Model’, a car so named by Integralia because these are the specifications demanded by one of its most recurrent clients, Centauro Rent a Car.
The ‘Centauro Model’ has equipment adapted to the service offered to its clients by the car hire company without a driver. In most cases, these are vehicles that make charter transfers to drop off and pick up passengers who have rented one of the cars from the airport or train station. This is where Integralia’s minibuses come into their own.
In 2014, the Alicante-based company acquired a minibus from Integralia for the first time. Since then, the company from Pamplona has maintained a very good relationship with the client, and as a result of this relationship, Centauro Rent a Car has a fleet of more than 50 minibuses from the Integralia depot. The latest acquisition has been five units already delivered, in addition to another request that will be available in the coming months.
From Benidorm to international expansion
It was 1973 when Francisco Devesa started up a fleet of six Seat 600s in one of the most representative tourist enclaves of the Spanish Mediterranean coast at the time: Benidorm. From that location was born what is today Centauro Rent a Car, a car rental company with offices in the main tourist, urban and coastal destinations in southern Europe.
Thanks to its ability to evolve over time, adapting to the demands of the market and, above all, to the habits and needs of national and international tourists, it has created what is now a business group. The company has a very up-to-date fleet of more than 40,000 vehicles, including family cars, minivans, SUVs, hybrids, convertibles, vans and even a wide variety of large-capacity vehicles.
In addition to its initial presence in the main cities and airports of the Spanish Mediterranean coast, it has been adding other urban destinations such as Barcelona, Seville and Madrid, where it has managed to be present not only in airports but also in the main AVE high-speed train stations. Since 2016, this expansion has become international with the opening of offices in Southern European markets such as Portugal, Italy and Greece, where the ‘Centauro Model’ takes travellers from airports to their rental cars.
